Enuresis Alarm for Boys

Bedwetting can be a distressing challenge for both children and parents. Many boys are affected, but with the right support, the problem can be effectively addressed. A proven method is the use of a bedwetting alarm. In this article, we explain how it works and why it can be effective support for nighttime toilet training.

Many boys have difficulty waking up on time at night. Causes can include deep sleep or bladder control that is not yet fully developed. A bedwetting alarm helps by triggering a signal at the first drops of urine. This helps the body gradually learn to perceive the signals of a full bladder.

What is a bedwetting alarm and how does it work?

A bedwetting alarm consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is attached to the underwear and detects moisture. As soon as this is detected, the system triggers an acoustic signal, a vibration, or both. This wakes the child and allows them to go to the toilet.

The system is comfortable, easy to use, and offers sound, vibration, or a combination of both as needed. This reliably supports nighttime toilet training.

The advantages of a bedwetting alarm for boys

Alarm therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free method with no side effects. It can also boost self-confidence as the child develops more control over their body.

The duration of training varies individually. Initial improvements often appear after a few weeks, but in some cases, it can take several months. Patience and consistency are important.

Boxer shorts for boys

The underwear has been specially developed for boys and offers high wearing comfort. Integrated sensors reliably detect moisture, supporting training with the bedwetting alarm. The breathable material ensures a comfortable fit during the day and night.

When is a bedwetting alarm suitable for boys?

The use of a bedwetting alarm can begin at any age, as soon as the child is old enough to actively participate and is motivated. Use is usually advisable from around 5 to 6 years of age. However, every child develops individually, so a flexible start is possible. If your child is over six years old and still regularly wets the bed, using a bedwetting alarm can be an effective solution.

Tips

It is important to explain how it works to the child and to support them positively. Small progress should be praised. It can also help to reduce the amount of fluid drunk in the evening and to go to the toilet before bedtime.

Underwear washing instructions

Washing instructions

The briefs can be washed at 30 to 60 °C. They contain sensor wires and snap fasteners for clicking in the Dryly® transmitter. Therefore, careful handling is important to ensure long-term use.

We recommend avoiding the tumble dryer whenever possible. If this is not possible, a low temperature setting should be chosen.

How to choose the right underwear size

The Dryly bedwetting alarm pants are based on European sizes and have a regular fit. Therefore, choose the same size your child normally wears for regular underwear.

Is your child between two sizes? Then choose the larger size. We notice that parents sometimes choose the smaller size and it ends up being a bit too tight for the child.

How do the Dryly® underpants work?

Fine sensor threads are sewn into the underwear. When the transmitter is attached to the snaps and moisture is detected, the signal is forwarded to the transmitter. This communicates with the receiver and triggers the alarm. In this way, your child is reliably awakened at the very first drops of urine.
