Rent or Buy

Rent or Buy

The health insurance fund only contributes to the rental costs of an enuresis alarm. We offer a rent-to-own option: After a minimum rental period of 40 days (CHF 132), a daily rental fee applies. If therapy is successful quickly, renting is often cheaper than an outright purchase. The rental period is limited to a maximum of 120 days; after this, ownership of the alarm automatically transfers to the family. For longer therapy durations, costs remain capped, and after deducting the basic insurance contribution of CHF 0.94 per day, the total costs are equivalent to an outright purchase. The family can fill out the rental form directly themselves or visit the webshop for a purchase. Outright Purchase An outright purchase is possible without a medical consultation and involves a one-time acquisition with no return of the device; there is no cost contribution from the health insurance fund.

Process from prescription to reimbursement

Process from prescription to reimbursement

The alarm system can be rented or purchased. For rentals, a doctor's prescription is required for health insurance coverage. The device is delivered by mail, and the alarm therapy can be started at home. In the case of a rental, the alarm system must be returned after the therapy has ended. Upon completion of the therapy, the family will receive a final invoice for submission to the health insurance provider. Reimbursement can be requested from the health insurance company along with the doctor's prescription. What does the health insurance cover? Prerequisites for cost coverage by basic insurance are that the child has reached the age of 5 and that there is a doctor's prescription for the rental of an alarm therapy device. The contribution from basic insurance is 0.94 CHF/day according to the List of Medical Aids and Appliances (item no. 15.20.01.01.2) as of 01/2026.

Well-supported by science

Numerous studies have focused on the treatment of bedwetting. A Dutch study conducted in collaboration with TNO shows that a significant proportion of children are affected by enuresis.

A 2005 study (Glazener) shows that after two months, 66% of participants were dry for 14 consecutive nights, compared to only 4% in the control group.

Another study from 2005 (Leerdam) shows that within three months, 85.5% of the 241 participating children were dry for 28 consecutive nights.

The positive Dryly® approach has a proven positive effect on the duration of alarm therapy. Currently, 93% of our users achieve dry nights within 6 to 8 weeks.

Course of therapy

Before going to bed, Wizzu guides the child through the evening ritual step by step to increase the likelihood of a dry night.

All relevant information (nightly progress, times, therapy compliance) is clearly presented in the Dryly® app. This allows both parents and referring medical professionals to easily identify patterns.

A good data foundation helps to avoid unnecessary delays in medical care.

Motivation & Acceptance

Bedwetting can be very stressful for children. It is all the more important to handle the situation without additional pressure or negative experiences.

Dryly® supports children with a playful and positive approach that strengthens their own motivation. Through interaction with Wizzu and the collection of WizzuCoins, the therapy is integrated into everyday life and made easier for the child to accept.

This creates a supportive framework in which children feel safe and can make progress step by step.

Easy to use

Getting up in the middle of the night, calming a child, and also keeping notes on paper? Many parents forget to do this or lose track.

With the Dryly® app, everything is documented automatically and clearly. This allows parents to focus on their child while the documentation is handled digitally.

Thanks to a learning system, additional individual tips can be provided that are based on the child's progress.
